The Gelmi Group welcomes the arrival of two additional members, Luke Martino and Veronica Perera, who begin their PhD journey under the guidance of Dr Gelmi in June and July, respectively.

Luke originates from a background in Biomedical Engineering where he will work to design, fabricate and characterise novel devices to be used for electrical stimulation on stem cells. In her previous work, Veronica looked at the dengue resistance and will utilise her Biology background to help characterise stem cell behaviour on biomaterials. We congratulate Luke and Veronica and look forward to where their research takes them!
